I discovered Walker Strings Ltd, in Cross Street, Congleton, through Lynda having booked her cello lessons there. I took a spare violin to the shop to have a new bridge fitted – to try them out really, I suppose.
The instrument was set up so beautifully by Jayne that I immediately took her my fave fiddle to be set up in the same way. Both violins now sound and play better than ever before and I find it hard to choose between them. Recently, I bought a pre-loved viola from Walker Strings that I am well pleased with.
To top off this great discovery, just round the corner is a triffick Chinese take away and a fish n chip shop second only to the one on the harbour in New Quay, West Wales, we went to with Smudger a few weeks ago when we met up with him after 51 years.
